Massage is perhaps one of the oldest healing traditions. Many ancient peoples – including the Ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Chinese, and Indians – were convinced of the therapeutic properties of massage and used it to treat a variety of ailments.

Massage therapy is the practice of kneading or manipulating a person’s muscles and other soft-tissue to improve their wellbeing or health. It is a form of manual therapy that includes holding, moving, and applying pressure to the muscles, tendons and ligaments.

Using various Effleurage, Petrissage, Tapotement, Friction and Vibration techniques we customise the routine to best satisfy your experience.

Hot stone massage has ancient roots in China, Native American, India and the Mediterranean. In the 1990s, Mary Nelson’s LaStone popularized the use of heated stones in massages. Today, hot stone massage is widely practiced worldwide for its relaxing and therapeutic benefits, promoting circulation, relieving muscle tension, and enhancing overall well-being.

Hot stone massages are performed using volcanic Basalt, for its ability to retain heat over long periods as well as the ability to produce a smooth shape that allows for a smoother and more pleasant experience.

The hot stones can be used at specific points of the body to provide heat whilst the massage is being performed and used as the massage medium allowing for deeper targeting of muscles.

Indian Head Massage, also known as Champissage, originates from Ayurveda, where it was practiced for generations in Indian households. The formalization and global introduction of Champissage are credited to Narendra Mehta, who brought the structured massage routine to the West in the 1970s. Indian Head Massage gained popularity for its stress-relieving benefits and has since been integrated into wellness practices worldwide, offered in spas and massage therapy clinics. The technique focuses on the head, neck, shoulders, and upper arms, combining traditional Indian techniques with modern adaptations.
